Refund & Return Policy

BuiltByBrevia (“we”, “our”, or “the Company”) is a Digital Marketing & Tech Studio based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. We offer custom development services including websites, mobile applications, SaaS platforms, and e-commerce solutions for a wide range of clients including brands, creatives, startups, and enterprises. This Refund & Return Policy outlines the terms under which payments are handled, cancellations are managed, and refunds (if applicable) may be considered across all our professional engagements.
At BuiltByBrevia, we prioritize client satisfaction through transparent communication, structured development processes, and industry-standard practices. However, due to the custom nature of our services, we follow a strict refund policy as outlined below.
1. Advance Payment is Non-Refundable
All projects require a 50% advance payment to begin work. This amount is non-refundable once the project has commenced, as it covers time, research, design, planning, and resource allocation efforts that begin immediately upon confirmation.
2. No Returns on Digital Services
As our work involves custom-built digital assets (websites, applications, code, software integrations, etc.), returns are not applicable. Once the service is delivered or partially executed, the outcome cannot be returned or “undone,” and hence, refunds are not applicable except under the conditions stated below.
3. Eligibility for Partial Refunds (if agreed in writing)
In rare situations where BuiltByBrevia is unable to begin the project due to internal constraints — and no work has been started — a partial refund may be considered on a case-by-case basis. This is subject to written approval and applicable deductions for any planning or consultations that have occurred prior to project termination.
4. Client-Initiated Project Cancellation
If a client chooses to cancel a project mid-way for personal, strategic, or internal reasons, the advance will not be refunded. Any completed phases or deliverables will be billed proportionally and must be paid in full before project closure. No refunds will be granted for change of mind, strategy shift, or delays on the client’s part.
5. Changes in Scope or Delays
Refunds will not be provided for project delays caused by missing client inputs, feedback delays, or change requests beyond the agreed scope. Any new work outside the original scope will be quoted separately.
6. Technical Errors & Fixes
If a delivered product contains technical errors that are within our scope of responsibility, BuiltByBrevia will fix them as part of the post-delivery support. However, this does not qualify for a refund unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing.
7. Third-Party Tools or Services
Fees paid for third-party services (like hosting, domains, APIs, or plugins) through BuiltByBrevia are governed by the terms of those providers. We do not offer refunds on those expenses once purchased on behalf of the client.
8. Freelance or Team-Based Compensation
Refunds are not applicable to freelancer or staff payments once the deliverables are submitted and approved by BuiltByBrevia internally.
9. Disputes
Any refund-related disputes will be resolved by reviewing the original agreement, timelines, client input status, and project logs. Decisions made by BuiltByBrevia will be final unless legally challenged through the appropriate jurisdiction.
10. Legal Jurisdiction
This policy is governed by the laws of India. Any legal matters related to refunds shall be addressed in the courts located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
